What to Expect

We’re a loving community of imperfect people learning to reflect our design.

At Grace Bible Church, you don’t need to have all the answers or be a perfect person. There’s only one person in history who fits that bill, anyway. Come see for yourself.

Thinking about checking out Grace Bible Church? If so, you may be wondering what to expect. See below for some FAQs. As always, feel free to email us with any additional questions!

Frequently asked questions

Where exactly are you located?

Grace Bible Church sits at the corner of James Way and Rodeo Drive. Our address is 100 Rodeo Drive, Arroyo Grande, CA, 93420.

What does a typical service look like?

We offer two different Sunday services: a classic service at 8:45 and a contemporary one at 10:30. The services are basically the same – corporate worship, announcements, a sermon, and regular communion and baptism – with the exception of worship style.

At the first service (8:45) we usually sing traditional hymns and well-known praise songs, often accompanied by a choir, organ, piano, or instrumental ensembles. At the second service (10:30), we sing more modern songs led by a band.

In support of our mission to the entire community, we also offer a Spanish service (Grace Hispaña) at 10:30 off the gymnasium and a Mandarin service at 10:30 in the Chapel.

How should I dress?

Dress however you would normally dress. At Grace Bible Church, you’ll see a few people in suits and ties and others in shorts and t-shirts. We’re all here for the Lord.

Where do I go for help once I get there?

Once you arrive on campus, look for one of our Greeters or head to the Welcome Center in the lobby. The Welcome Center is staffed with friendly volunteers who can point you in the right direction or walk you wherever you’d like to go.

Where do my children go?

We offer great children’s programs during both Sunday services. Just visit the Children’s Center Window, where one of our volunteers will be happy to help you.

For peace of mind, please know that we take the safety and security of your child very seriously. All of our children’s ministry volunteers undergo background checks and receive thorough training. Also, when checking in a child kindergarten-aged and under, you will receive a secure parent-tag to give the teacher when you check out your child.

If you have an infant and are not ready to put your child in the nursery, we also have a Family Room available for you to watch the service in comfort and convenience.

Where can my junior high or high school student connect?

Junior high meets in the Junior High room upstairs in the gym and high school students meet in the Student Center at 8:45 on Sunday mornings. There’s no better place for young fun, community, and spiritual growth.

I have special needs. What accommodations do you have?

The parking lots at Grace Bible Church include plenty of handicap parking spaces, and our campus is wheelchair accessible. Children with special needs can enjoy the “Buddy Program,” available during both morning services. When you register your child and sign in for the morning, you can let a volunteer know of any special needs, and we will do our best to help your child feel welcome and cared for.
